DESCRIPTION:Royal and Prior Comprehensive will take part in Bike Week 2026 by promoting cycling to school and encouraging more students to cycle where possible. SUMMARY:Carlow Regional Youth Services- Bike Fest 2026
DESCRIPTION:Please note: this event is only open to members of Carlow Regional Youth Services\nPop-up bike repair and maintenance workshops alongside cycling challenges & workshops will be held to promote bike safety for children and teenagers in various local parks around Carlow town and environs (venues include Carlow Town Park\, Carlow Skate Park\, Hanover Park and The Vault Youth Project). All activities will be delivered by experienced facilitators and are non-competitive in nature\, focusing on skills\, safety and bike handling rather than speed or stunts. These cycling challenges will consist of a basic obstacle course\, balance board games as well as road safety quizzes. Basic safety checks will be carried out on bikes prior to participation\, helmets will be required\, and first-aid provision will be available on site. Spot prizes such as cycling safety gear and accessories will be awarded to participants. A qualified and experienced bike repair tutor will be present at each event to deliver maintenance guidance\, demonstrate safe repair techniques\, and carry out minor repairs and safety checks on participants’ bicycles.

We will then get the children to independently carry out checks on their own bikes before putting on their helmets and cycling safely They will also go through safely cycling onto the road while demonstrating this. \n#BikeWeekWestmeath

DESCRIPTION:Our secondary school Royal Canal Greenway cycles take place right throughout bike week. School groups will get the opportunity to cycle along a scenic stretch of the Royal Canal Greenway in Longford. Each cycle will be guided by experienced cycling tutors. Safe cycling practice will be incorporated in to each cycle session. Our cycles on the 15th will take place along the Royal Canal Greenway from Clondra.

SUMMARY:Mountain Bike Coaching - Men's Beginners (Morning Session)
DESCRIPTION:Bike Week 2026 at Glencullen Adventure Park will take place over two days\, Friday May 15th and Saturday May 16th\, offering free beginner mountain bike coaching sessions for men\, women\, and youths aged 12+. On Friday\, participants can join a Beginner Men’s Coaching session from 10am–1pm and a Beginner Women’s Coaching session from 2pm–5pm\, with 8 places available in each. Saturday expands with Beginner Men’s Coaching running (10am–1pm) and Women’s beginner coaching in the afternoon (2pm–5pm)\, alongside dedicated Beginner Youth (12+) sessions at the same times morning and afternoon\, each with 8 participants. In total\, 48 participants will take part across the two days. The event is fully funded through support from Cycling Ireland and DLR Active Travel\, making all sessions free and accessible\, and aims to introduce new riders to mountain biking in a supportive\, professionally coached environment.
