DESCRIPTION:Participants will meet on St Patrick’s Quay in Cork City before setting out on a relaxed guided cycle towards Marina Park using the city cycle lanes. From there the group will join the Cork Harbour Greenway and follow the old Blackrock railway line through Blackrock and Mahon. The cycle will pass several well-known locations including Blackrock Castle and the Marina before returning to the city. The route uses cycle lanes and greenways and is approximately 95% traffic free. Bikes and helmets can be provided for participants who need them.

DESCRIPTION:We propose to offer schools the opportunity to bring classes to try riding on Sundrive velodrome. Over the course of a school day we can accommodate up to 48 children split into smaller groups. We provide bikes\, helmets and cycling shoes for participants. \nA day out at the velodrome offers participants a unique experience where they ride on a banked track on fixed wheel bikes with only one gear. \nWe will have three accredited coaches on hand throughout the sessions.

DESCRIPTION:“We will hold a Bike Day in our 3rd term.\nOn this day\, children are encouraged to cycle to school in so far as is possible. Children from 3rd up to 6th class go on a school cycle on a local route. Teachers and parents guide the children on this cycle. We will also have a garda car to accompany the cycle. Children stop at a half way mark for refreshments.\nChildren from Infants up to 2nd class will participate in bike day on the school grounds. Circuits will be set out on our school grounds on different yards. The children will get to experience the different circuits on different yards. Children and parents that help out on the day will get treats and refreshments.\nStart Point Kilmihil N.S. DESCRIPTION:The BikeFit Physio will set up a pop-up bike fitting stand outside Penrose Dock for three days during Bike Week. Commuter cyclists bring themselves and their bike to the pop-up stand. The BikeFit Physio then has participants cycle on a trainer and makes the necessary changes to their bike set up in order to resolve their cycling related symptoms. e.g saddle up or down\, forward or back\, handle bar height and stem length etc
