This supervised area will include flat-ground skills practice along with features such as ramps and an MTB Hopper to let riders try some fun skills in a controlled environment. Just bring your bike and join in at any stage during the day. \nTry MTB – Teens and Adults \nThese beginner-friendly sessions are ideal for anyone looking to try mountain biking for the first time. Each session will include bike set-up\, helmet checks\, and an introduction to basic skills such as braking\, gears\, and trail awareness\, followed by a ride on the green loop. \nSession Times: \n11:00am – 12:30pm\n1:00pm – 2:30pm\n2:30pm – 4:00pm\nPre-booking is strongly advised. If spaces remain\, limited on-the-day sign-up may be available. \nIntermediate Mountain Biking\nOwn bike required\nThese sessions are aimed at riders with some off-road experience who want to build confidence and develop their skills further. Groups will head out on the blue trail and descend selected red sections. \nSession Times: \n10:30am – 12:30pm\n1:00pm – 3:00pm\nPre-booking is strongly advised. If spaces remain\, limited on-the-day sign-up may be available. \nAdvanced Skills Sessions\nOwn bike essential\nThese focused sessions are for more experienced riders who want to work on specific technical skills. \nSession Options: \nTabletops / Introduction to Jumps — 10:30am – 12:00pm\nPump and Flow — 12:30pm – 2:00pm\nTechnical / Fast Cornering — 2:30pm – 4:00pm\nAdvance booking required. \nSunday 10th May\nGuided group rides will run with four staff in total\, with one leader at the front and one at the back of each group. \nGroup Ride – Blue Loop\n10:00am – 11:30am\nA relaxed group ride on the blue loop. DESCRIPTION:Participants will meet on St Patrick’s Quay in Cork City before setting out on a relaxed guided cycle towards Marina Park using the city cycle lanes. From there the group will join the Cork Harbour Greenway and follow the old Blackrock railway line through Blackrock and Mahon. The cycle will pass several well-known locations including Blackrock Castle and the Marina before returning to the city. The route uses cycle lanes and greenways and is approximately 95% traffic free. Bikes and helmets can be provided for participants who need them.

DESCRIPTION:We will organise a cycling event on a Saturday morning as part of our Saturday Morning down the Marina Walkway. We will bring along various options handcycles\, para running bike trikes etc and have some members and siblings on their own bikes. We want to allow kids try out the various options and explore what suits them best and then have a fun family cycles where all are included followed by treats and a picnic. In advance we have Triathlon Ireland coming to club running sessions with the members teaching them some drills\, building up to having a mini triathlon and explaining the importance of bike safety\, proper fitting helmets etc. Suitable for Families who are members of an IWA Sports Club – this is for insurance reasons
