This first event which is aimed for adults will be perfect for beginners and casual cyclists\, with a comfortable 25km route designed to build confidence and enjoyment.\nAfter the cycle\, we’ll return to Barrack Hill for some well-earned healthy refreshments—a great chance to chat\, share stories\, and connect with fellow participants.\nExperts from Carndonagh Cycle will be running a fun and engaging bike obstacle course\, helping kids build skills and confidence in a safe environment.\nWe’ll also have a drop-in bike care clinic running throughout the event\, where you can learn essential skills like fixing a puncture\, checking your brakes\, and keeping your bike in top shape. A leisurely group cycle followed by a sea swim at Seapoint. \nCycling and Sea Swimming at Seapoint! \nJoin us at 10am on Sunday morning\, 17 May for a guided cycle from Sandymount Green along the coast road to Sea Point for a high tide summer sea swim! \nThis event will bring together a leisurely group cycle of about 12km and a guided sea swim with like minded people. \nTake part in a guided open water swim at Seapoint\, suitable for both experienced swimmers and those who simply want to enjoy a sea dip. All participants will be required to use a tow float for visibility and safety. The more the merrier. \nHosted by Aisling Cullen (Trail Bike Body MTB Coaching) & Orna Murray (Move2B) In collaboration with Cycling Ireland \nTime: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM \nLocation: Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails \nWhat to expect: \nPractical On-the-Bike Session Kick off the day with a supportive\, hands-on session focused on skills\, technique and confidence in small groups\, so you’ll actually get proper coaching and leave with people you’ve ridden with. \nLunch at Spruce & Willow A well-earned break with great food and great company. This is where the good conversations happen. \nBody & Mind Workshops (2 hours) Two sessions that get into the stuff that doesn’t always get talked about. \nPart One: Female physiology and how it impacts performance — working with your body\, not against it.\nPart Two: How to build confidence on the bike — managing fear\, committing to new features and trails\, and understanding some physology of hitting the trails!\nPlus — we’ll be soft launching the Munster Women’s MTB Collective on the day. \nA new regional collective for women who ride\, built around coaching days\, ride days\, and community right across Munster. If you’ve ever wanted more women to ride with\, this is where it starts. \nWhether you’re new to cycling or looking to take things to the next level\, this day is all about supporting you — mind\, body\, and bike. It will see a combination of high adrenaline racing on a spectator friendly closed circuit between Hanover Quay and Sir John Rogerson’s Quay\, a family and inclusive cycle on the closed city centre street circuit\, a fun balance bike race for the little ones\, a Brompton folding bike race\, an event village with bike brands\, interactive activities\, free bike stenciling for kids\, a BMX demonstration and a bike polo demonstration. DESCRIPTION:Spin & Sign is a fun\, welcoming\, family-friendly community cycle created to bring together the Deaf community\, Athy Sign & Sign members\, and our wider local community for a relaxed spin with plenty of laughs\, chats\, and signing along the way. This event is all about connection\, inclusion\, and visibility\, creating a space where Deaf and hearing people can come together naturally through movement\, Irish Sign Language\, and shared social time. We’ll meet at a central starting point in Athy\, where everyone will be welcomed in both Irish Sign Language and spoken English\, with a clear visual overview of the route and a few simple safety reminders before we roll out. The cycle itself will be an easy\, gentle spin at a comfortable pace\, suitable for children\, families\, beginner cyclists\, and anyone who just wants to enjoy being out on their bike without pressure. \nThere’s no racing here\, just cruising together\, chatting at stops\, and enjoying the journey. Our destination is Dilly Dally\, where we’ll park up the bikes and switch gears into social mode\, giving everyone time to mix\, mingle\, sign\, chat\, and connect over coffee\, ice cream\, and treats. This relaxed stop creates the perfect opportunity for people to practise Irish Sign Language in a friendly\, informal way while building real connections across the community. Spin & Sign celebrates cycling\, movement\, balance\, wheels\, pedals\, and safety\, while also highlighting community\, inclusion\, and belonging. \nOpen to all ages and abilities\, the event encourages active participation\, shared learning\, and simple joy\, proving that sometimes the best way to bring people together is two wheels\, two hands\, and a good place to stop for ice cream. SUMMARY:Circumnavigation of Cork by Bike
DESCRIPTION:Participants will meet on St Patrick’s Quay before setting out on a guided cycle exploring a number of Cork City’s cycling routes. The route will include the Mardyke Walkway\, Fitzgerald’s Park\, the Shaky Bridge\, the Lee Fields Greenway\, Curraghkippane\, Model Farm Road\, and Tramore Valley Park before returning to the city centre. The cycle will take place at a relaxed pace and will highlight how different cycle paths and greenways link together across the city. Bikes and helmets can be provided for participants who need them.
