DESCRIPTION:As part of Bike Week Limerick\, Limerick City and County Council in partnership with Limerick Sports Partnership will host a city centre cycling celebration\, combining a street party with a group cycle designed for families and cyclists of all ages and abilities. \nThe event will take place on Davis Street\, which will serve as the central hub for the day\, with activities for children and adults.\nFrom Davis Street\, a group cycle will bring people on a 5 km loop around the city centre. The cycle will be sociable\, inclusive and suitable for all ages and abilities. \nTo support participation from across Limerick city\, guided group cycles will be organised to bring people to Davis Street from the west (Mungret Park)\, east (Castletroy Park) and north (Mayorstone Quarry) sides of the city. On Friday\, participants can join a Beginner Men’s Coaching session from 10am–1pm and a Beginner Women’s Coaching session from 2pm–5pm\, with 8 places available in each. Saturday expands with Beginner Men’s Coaching running (10am–1pm) and Women’s beginner coaching in the afternoon (2pm–5pm)\, alongside dedicated Beginner Youth (12+) sessions at the same times morning and afternoon\, each with 8 participants. In total\, 48 participants will take part across the two days. The event is fully funded through support from Cycling Ireland and DLR Active Travel\, making all sessions free and accessible\, and aims to introduce new riders to mountain biking in a supportive\, professionally coached environment.

DESCRIPTION:A fun and inclusive cycling event at Clough GAA Grounds designed to encourage new and returning cyclists of all ages and abilities. \nThe event will include an accessible bike showcase in partnership with Laois Sports Partnership (subject to availability)\, allowing participants to view and try accessible bicycles suitable for different abilities. \nThe newly installed bike repair station at the GAA grounds will be promoted through a practical bike maintenance workshop covering tyre inflation\, puncture repair\, brake checks and bike safety basics. \nA community Cycle Gear Swap & Donation Station will also be held\, encouraging residents to donate or exchange unwanted but usable cycling items such as helmets\, stabilisers\, knee pads\, elbow pads\, high-visibility gear\, pumps and children’s bikes.
