SUMMARY:Dublin Bay Cycling Club Bike Week Event
DESCRIPTION:We plan to run the event in St Anne’s Park in Raheny\, Dublin 5 (park permit granted). It will be open to everyone but we are targeting children aged 8-15 in particular. The event will be free to take part in. All that is required is a bike and a helmet. \nThe event will involve various elements:\nSkills display by an Elite level mountain bike rider\nVarious obstacles courses that all riders can test themselves against\nRiding on a bike on a turbo trainer with a power meter to see who can get the highest power reading\nChallenge to ride on rollers – we will have an Elite track rider to demonstrate some skills on rollers \nWe will also have a qualified mechanic on hand to check bikes and indicate to riders if they need to get work done/parts replaced etc.\nThere will be various prizes on offer through the evening. \nWe will also have refreshments for all participants.

This is the first time the City Council has organised a Bike Week event through Irish and we are really looking forward to you joining us! This session will focus on roped rock climbing (top-rope climbing)\, where participants are safely secured with harnesses and ropes\, allowing you to climb natural rock faces with guidance and support from experienced climbers. No previous climbing experience is needed!\nAfter the climbing session\, the group will cycle back to Coolaney Community Park to finish.
