The event is fully funded through support from Cycling Ireland and DLR Active Travel\, making all sessions free and accessible\, and aims to introduce new riders to mountain biking in a supportive\, professionally coached environment.

A drop-in bike care clinic will also run throughout the event\, offering practical guidance for teenagers and adults on basic bike maintenance\, including puncture repairs and brake checks.

DESCRIPTION:Mountain Biking is a big part of the Tír Chonaill GAP scene\, and we have attracted many new members to the club through mountain biking\, either directly from Bike Week or from seeing the photos on social media.\nThe event will start and finish at McCafferty’s Bar in Lettermacaward and we will take beginner cyclists off road on gravel\, farm and mountain tracks. The scenery is spectacular\, the views even better\, and the terrain even even better.\nIf you’ve never ridden a mountain bike but fancy a crack at this off road fun\, this is the event for you. You will be joined by experienced cyclists who will help you manage the terrain.\nWe have a few bikes available to lend\, but these will be allocated on a first come first served basis\, so please let us know in advance if you need one.
