DESCRIPTION:As part of Bike Week Limerick\, Limerick City and County Council in partnership with Limerick Sports Partnership will host a city centre cycling celebration\, combining a street party with a group cycle designed for families and cyclists of all ages and abilities. \nThe event will take place on Davis Street\, which will serve as the central hub for the day\, with activities for children and adults.\nFrom Davis Street\, a group cycle will bring people on a 5 km loop around the city centre. The cycle will be sociable\, inclusive and suitable for all ages and abilities. \nTo support participation from across Limerick city\, guided group cycles will be organised to bring people to Davis Street from the west (Mungret Park)\, east (Castletroy Park) and north (Mayorstone Quarry) sides of the city. The event will also include ‘Tour De Merlin Woods’ a guided family cycle exploring the woodland trails surrounding Merlin Woods. Helmets are mandatory for all participants taking part in the BMX workshop and the Tour De Merlin Woods guided cycle. This inclusive event welcomes anyone with a bike and helmet. \nA welcoming\, inclusive event for families\, children\, and young people of all ages. We encourage everyone to join in the fun\, just bring a bike and a helmet. \nChildren under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
