This supervised area will include flat-ground skills practice along with features such as ramps and an MTB Hopper to let riders try some fun skills in a controlled environment. Just bring your bike and join in at any stage during the day. \nTry MTB – Teens and Adults \nThese beginner-friendly sessions are ideal for anyone looking to try mountain biking for the first time. Each session will include bike set-up\, helmet checks\, and an introduction to basic skills such as braking\, gears\, and trail awareness\, followed by a ride on the green loop. \nSession Times: \n11:00am – 12:30pm\n1:00pm – 2:30pm\n2:30pm – 4:00pm\nPre-booking is strongly advised. SUMMARY:Velodrome taster sessions
DESCRIPTION:We propose to offer schools the opportunity to bring classes to try riding on Sundrive velodrome. Over the course of a school day we can accommodate up to 48 children split into smaller groups. We provide bikes\, helmets and cycling shoes for participants. \nA day out at the velodrome offers participants a unique experience where they ride on a banked track on fixed wheel bikes with only one gear. \nWe will have three accredited coaches on hand throughout the sessions.

The 45k route will be aimed at stronger and more experienced cyclist while the 30k cycle will be aimed at beginner and less experienced cyclists. DESCRIPTION:Private Event! \nThis proposal is for a half day cycle around Killarney National Park or a similar greenway area for a group of migrant women\, currently living in an accommodation centre in Drishane Castle in Millstreet\, Cork. The group have their own bikes but do not have access to transport. \nIn April/May 2026\, Wild Atlantic Sports will run a 5 week cycling programme on behalf of Cork Sports Partnership with the women\, to include cycle skills\, road safety\, bike maintenance and local road cycles. The final week of this programme is on Bike Week and the proposed cycle would be a super finish and celebration of their progress! \nThe Bike Week funding would support a trip to a local safe cycling and include bus hire for the group\, transport of the groups’ bikes to the cycle destination\, drinks & refreshments for the group and cover instructor/guide expenses.

DESCRIPTION:We plan to run the event in St Anne’s Park in Raheny\, Dublin 5 (park permit granted). It will be open to everyone but we are targeting children aged 8-15 in particular. The event will be free to take part in. All that is required is a bike and a helmet. \nThe event will involve various elements:\nSkills display by an Elite level mountain bike rider\nVarious obstacles courses that all riders can test themselves against\nRiding on a bike on a turbo trainer with a power meter to see who can get the highest power reading\nChallenge to ride on rollers – we will have an Elite track rider to demonstrate some skills on rollers \nWe will also have a qualified mechanic on hand to check bikes and indicate to riders if they need to get work done/parts replaced etc.\nThere will be various prizes on offer through the evening. \nWe will also have refreshments for all participants.
