We plan to run the event in St Anne’s Park in Raheny, Dublin 5 (park permit granted). It will be open to everyone but we are targeting children aged 8-15 in particular. The event will be free to take part in. All that is required is a bike and a helmet.<\/p>\n
The event will involve various elements:
\nSkills display by an Elite level mountain bike rider
\nVarious obstacles courses that all riders can test themselves against
\nRiding on a bike on a turbo trainer with a power meter to see who can get the highest power reading
\nChallenge to ride on rollers – we will have an Elite track rider to demonstrate some skills on rollers<\/p>\n
We will also have a qualified mechanic on hand to check bikes and indicate to riders if they need to get work done\/parts replaced etc.
\nThere will be various prizes on offer through the evening.<\/p>\n
