Promote the benefits of cycling while ensuring that the pupils understand and adhere to the principles of Cycling Safety.
Pupils from the senior classes from Murroe NS will take part in a group cycle on a route nearby the school, while the Junior classes will take part in a cycling workshop in the school grounds.
Glassan NS are planning a trip to Glenveagh National Park where they will take part in a guided cycle around the trails.
Our Ty students will cycle along the Greenway from Athlone to Moate and back
Grassroutes Bike Hire will run eight inclusive cycling classes during Bike Week 2025 for students from Little Angels and St Bernadette’s schools. Sessions include bike fitting, safety checks, and adapted cycling skills, promoting confidence, physical activity, and independence.
An event for Knock National School pupils which involves doing a leisurely 5km cycle with refreshments.
During Bike Week, senior pupils from Frosses NS will cycle to our Centre for refreshments and a raffle. Community members will be invited to try out our adult trikes, with regular group participants joining in. Our long-distance fundraisers will also reunite for a 5km cycle and post-ride social gathering.

Students from Kilmacrennan NS will partake in a guided group cycle on the trails in Glenveagh National Park.
During Bike Week, all Faugher NS, Co. Donegal pupils will enjoy a cycle safety workshop with Triathlon Ireland coach Triona. Later, in Ards Forest Park, students will complete age-appropriate cycle routes with parents and celebrate together at a BBQ. All children will receive a prize for completing their cycling challenge.

Schools Superhero Cycle
A fun cycle with students from Carbury National School on 16th May 2025 in the vicinity of their school with Sligo Cycling Campaign.
The students of Scoil Mhuire, Rosslare Strand, Co. Wexford will celebrate Bike Week and the completion of their Safe Routes to School works by cycling to school on Friday 16th May for Bike Week 2025
Lynx Cycling Club and St Cynoc’s National School, will be taking part in a school cycle day in Ferbane Offaly as part of Bike Week on 16th May
Students form the Senior classes of Moyle NS will cycle to the shore nearby their school and conduct a Spring Clean of the shore on arrival. Infant Classes will cycle around the school. The day will conclude with a picnic for all children with parents invited also. A bike mechanic will be on hand on the day to carry out any minor repairs required.
Pupils from schools across Kilkenny will have an intro to mountain biking, wrapping up with fun grass track racing, organised with Cycling Ireland for Bike Week.

Bike Week Events taking place at Ballinderreen National School
Our preschool children will be encouraged to bike to school, for those who do not have bikes we can provide them. Then we will have our second bike race along the Brosna View Green,
The Treasure Hunt in Westport is suitable for 13-17 years old secondary school students to cycle around Westport on a treasure hunt. This is a challenge and competition while it also promotes group cycles and is suitable for all levels of experience. This will take place at Westport Tennis Club F28 E1C2
