Children attending the ECCE free pre-school year 1&2 and the school aged childcare children will have a fund week there will be a Bike safety day, design a bike art competition, Bike ride to the local community garden, cycling sports day, Fancy Dress Bike parade with musical entertainment
We have hired a local bike company to come to our school and deliver a day of fun and cycling for all our children with educational and additional needs. Using a selection of specialised equipment the children will get to have some fun and enjoy all the benefits that cycling offers.
Bike work shop - repairing and checking children’s bikes from the area and there will be a community information session on cycling safety.
Children from 3rd – 6th classes, teachers, volunteers and parents will cycle from the school, through the town and out the golf links road.

The Drumshanbo Sports Hub will host a 2 hour Balance Bike Event led by Balance Bike Instructors on Saturday 16th May for toddlers 3-5 years old. The programme will take place on the Mayflower Astro Turf or Indoors subject to weather conditions.
Toddler balance bike session. Designated bike week session where families will bring either their bikes or balance bikes and the children will learn the safety of cycling outside.
