Athenry CycleFest 2026

Building on the success of previous Bike Weeks in Athenry, CycleFest ‘26 will be an accessible afternoon full of cycling, fun and prizes! Scheduled for the beginning of the week, we aim to kick off Bike Week in Galway with a bang!

There’ll be bubbles, a cycle photobooth, face painting for the younger kids who can safely cycle around the park on their balance bikes and trikes during our *Wee Wheelers* event.

Has your bike been in the back of the shed for too long? Never fear, bring it along and we’ll have our experienced mechanic on hand to give it a Bike to Basics health check.

The afternoon’s grand finale is our annual Athenry Pedal Parade at 3pm starting at the Community Park. Join us for a leisurely spin around the streets of our historic town.

We’ll have prizes for the best dressed bikes and riders. But don’t worry, if you don’t have time to decorate your bike beforehand we’ll have a Glam Your Bike station to make sure it looks the part for the parade!
