Clough NS Family Bike Parade
Clough NS will host a Family Bike Parade on the GAA pitch in Clough to celebrate Bike Week 2026. This event will take place after school hours and will run for approximately 1 hour.
The parade will be held within the grounds of the GAA pitch, using a clearly marked loop of approximately 400-500 meters. Participants will cycle together in a fun, relaxed group setting, for 20-30 minutes, followed by a short free-cycle period.
This event is open to students, their family and the wider local community, encouraging, intergenerational participation and promoting cycling as a healthy, social activity. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes, and there will be a ‘best decorated bike’ element to add fun and creative aspect.
The event is suitable for all ages and abilities, with a focus on inclusion rather than distance or speed. Helmets will be required, all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Supervision will be provided by school staff and volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
This event will be open to the public and aims to engage the wider Clough community in Bike week celebrations.
