Dublin Bay Cycling Club Bike Week Event
We plan to run the event in St Anne’s Park in Raheny, Dublin 5 (park permit granted). It will be open to everyone but we are targeting children aged 8-15 in particular. The event will be free to take part in. All that is required is a bike and a helmet.
The event will involve various elements:
Skills display by an Elite level mountain bike rider
Various obstacles courses that all riders can test themselves against
Riding on a bike on a turbo trainer with a power meter to see who can get the highest power reading
Challenge to ride on rollers – we will have an Elite track rider to demonstrate some skills on rollers
We will also have a qualified mechanic on hand to check bikes and indicate to riders if they need to get work done/parts replaced etc.
There will be various prizes on offer through the evening.
We will also have refreshments for all participants.
