Port of Galway Sea Scouts – Gasóga Mara – Slí na gCaisleán

1st Port of Sea Scouts are proud to be part of Bike Week 2026 where our group will travel along a 40km looped cycle trail taking in the 7 Castles of Galway.

We will have youth from each of our 5 sections: Beavers (6-8yrs), Cubs (9-11yrs), Scouts (12-14yrs), Ventures (15-17yrs), Rovers (18yr+) alongside our dedicated leaders.

This is a gentle cycle to allow everyone take in Galway’s natural beauty on our doorstep, we will have a break at each castle where we will talk a little on the history of the castle.

At the end of the event we will have a celebratory BBQ at our base in Deadman’s Beach.

Scouting Ireland has strict Garda Vetting & Safeguarding protocols, therefore our event is limited to Scouting youth and their families.
