Seachtain na Rothar 🚲 Ionad Óige Ghaoth Dobhair
On Thursday 14th May, 4:00pm–7:00pm, for a practical and educational cycling session focused on keeping bikes safe, efficient, and road-ready.
This free event will offer basic bike health checks, including tyres and brakes, saddle height adjustment, cable tightening and capping, and checking for any loose nuts and bolts. Gear checks will also be carried out to ensure bikes are properly set up and running smoothly. Children are welcome to bring their own bikes.
The workshop will run over four 45-minute sessions:
Sessions 1 & 3: Bike Health Checks & Set-Up
Session 2: Puncture Repair Skills
Session 4: Combined Session – Chains & Brakes Maintenance
Bike set-up will be carried out alongside the health checks, giving participants hands-on guidance and practical learning throughout the event.
