Slaney Cycling – MTB Skills Sessions

Slaney Cycling in association with Cycling Ireland are delighted to run a Mountain Bike skills sessions as part of Bike Week 2026.
This will be aimed at kids of all ages and will comprise hands-on training to improve rider confidence, technical ability, and safety. We will be focusing on essential techniques like body positioning, optimal line choice, braking efficiency, and navigating features such as drops, jumps, and tight switchbacks. These sessions are aimed at Beginners or cyclists looking to take their biking off-road for the first time.
The MTB Skills Sessions will be held in the Showgrounds Enniscorthy (Y21 XP63) on Sunday the 9th May (TBC) between 2pm and 4pm. Please bring your own bike and a drink for the event.
We will also be doing some tutorials on bike maintenance and side of road fixes.
