A fun event in the centre of town letting people see and try different bikes.
The Bike Maintenance Workshop teaches essential bike care skills, including fixing flats, adjusting brakes, and cleaning chains. Participants can bring their own bikes for hands-on learning with a local expert. Free safety kits, including lights and reflective gear, will be provided to promote safe, confident, and regular cycling habits.
To introduce new cyclists to the road, bike maintenance, rules of the road, and hand signals - Adults Bike cycle route from Lehanmore Community Centre to Barnes and back approx 10k.
To introduce participants to multi modal travel and to try to develop a community of cyclists - Multi modal leisure cycle using the train to Midleton to meet with the cycle to the sea organisation for a presentation on their greenway sculptures - 12th May
A guided cycle through a scale model of the solar system from the Sun at Patricks Bridge to Neptune at Blackrock Castle Observatory, Co. Cork. We will "visit" each planet in turn, learn a little about it, get a feeling of the scale of the solar system and have some fun on the way.

To improve the set up of commuter bikes to better suit their owners and help them with simple maintenance jobs for their bikes - taking place 12, 13 and 14 May - see locations
We would hope to ask a local bike expert to come and speak to our pupils regarding bike safety. Pupils would then convene at the local Blueway Trail near Rathcaled in Emper and go on the Blueway as far as Abbeyshrule and back again. A picnic would be organised at a location in Abbeyshrule (playground) as a treat for all who participated. Parents would be welcome to join also.

A relaxed social of road cycle on the beautiful new Midleton to Youghal Greenway
This cycle will be completely off-road apart from the first few hundred meters on the Grand Parade, it will be slow and easy so is particularly suited to those who are less confident cyclists.
You can join us on the Grand Parade at 12 noon or at Midleton railway station at 1:10, Irish Rail is providing a free rail transfer from Kent Station to Midleton Station for cyclists and their bikes free of charge to showcase the ease of traveling by bike and rail.

Children's learn to cycles session focusing on fun cycling activities designed to help children cycling skills and knowledge so that they can cycle safely in urban areas.
This guided tour takes participants through Cork City, utilising cycle lanes where available while safely navigating streets without them. The tour begins at St Patrick’s Quay and travels anticlockwise around the city. A relaxed pace ensures there’s time to learn about the city’s heritage and enjoy the surroundings.
