Creeslough NS will deliver a week-long Bike Week initiative promoting cycling for health, fun, and environmental awareness. Throughout the week, pupils will take part in a range of cycling-related activities designed to encourage active travel and build confidence on bikes.
Arranmore NS will take part in a Bike Week excursion beginning with the ferry from Arranmore to Burtonport, followed by transport to Glenveagh National Park. Pupils will hire bikes and enjoy a guided cycle within the scenic grounds of the park, promoting active travel, confidence on bicycles, and an appreciation of the natural environment.
Drumfad NS have planned two events across Bike Week 12th May - Bike Engineer will visit our school to service children bicycles for us. Friday 15th May- Family cycle to the beach in Portsalon for children and their families, a beach clean up and cycle back to school.
The event will feature an adapted cycling obstacle course, allowing all students to participate at their own pace with appropriate support. The activity is designed to enhance coordination, confidence, and enjoyment in a safe and inclusive setting. #BikeWeekWestmeath
