A school-wide Bike Week celebration at Tinryland National School Co. Carlow featuring a cycling competition, class workshops with a visiting instructor, and encouragement for pupils to cycle to school.
A social event bringing together groups from Abbeyleix and Durrow for cycling, chat and coffee.

Wheels For all is suitable for all ages and levels. This cycle is inclusive for families that have children with disabilities. This cycle will help promote awareness and safety when on bikes. This will take place at Manulla Football CLub at F23 KF66.

Members of Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin will take part in an event aiming to promote and encourage the use of the new Greenway when traveling to and from matches/training. The event will involve a one hour session at the club led by local cycling coaches focusing on cycling skills, cycling safety and guidelines for using the greenway. This will be followed by a guided cycle on the greenway and refreshments in the clubhouse.

A guided cycle through a scale model of the solar system from the Sun at Patricks Bridge to Neptune at Blackrock Castle Observatory, Co. Cork. We will "visit" each planet in turn, learn a little about it, get a feeling of the scale of the solar system and have some fun on the way.

For older or mobility-impaired people to feel the freedom and joy of being out on a bike.
To promote everyday cycling as a healthy and social activity by combining great local food, gentle exercise, and the natural beauty of the Midleton-Youghal Greenway.
As part of Bike Week, students will explore Bonny Glen Forest and the Dolmen Stone by bike, promoting fitness, confidence, and outdoor learning. The event combines cycling with local heritage, teamwork, and environmental awareness, ending with a picnic. It highlights cycling as a fun, educational, and healthy group activity.

We would hope to ask a local bike expert to come and speak to our pupils regarding bike safety. Pupils would then convene at the local Blueway Trail near Rathcaled in Emper and go on the Blueway as far as Abbeyshrule and back again. A picnic would be organised at a location in Abbeyshrule (playground) as a treat for all who participated. Parents would be welcome to join also.
Students from Ursuline College will embark on a 17km round trip from the school to Strandhill village, Co. Sligo breaking there for ice-cream before returning along the same route back to the school.
