Bike art masterpieces, a retrospective of previous year's Bike Week art exhibitions and last years International Mail Art Call - Opening reception from 6:30pm on Thursday the 8th May - with exhibition open for viewing all through Bike Week 4:30-11:30pm in The Friary No.1 Shandon St. Cork City.
Children from Fenagh NS will be encouraged to cycle and record the amount of time they cycle each day during the Bike week event starting Saturday 10th until Sunday 18th May 2024.
Hop on your bike and challenge yourself to complete a 25km cycle within the designated week of 10th to 18th May. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, this event is open to all skill levels. Families will bring either their bikes or balance bikes and the children will learn the safety of cycling outside, stopping on demand, slowly stopping, safe crossing road etc. There will be a talk around safe use of bikes and also stranger awareness when out cycling.
There will be a range of Adult Only Events as well as Family Friendly Events with an aim to give a range of ages and abilities in the community an opportunity to get on their bikes!!

Beginner Mountain Biking Lessons – Explore Coolaney’s Mountains on Two Wheels.
Finn Wheelers will be hosting a 30km leisure cycle featuring a mid-way refreshment break. The goal is to encourage participation in a social group cycle for club and non-members. We will be encouraging people interested in cycling who are non members to participate in the group cycle and hope to encourage then to get involved with regular group cycles with the club. This will be an easy paced event with experienced club member leading the cycle event and providing marshalling and support. Bikes will be checked and safety will be discussed in a briefing before the cycle.
As part of Bike Week we are providing a limited amount of free bike rentals at The Avon in Blessington, Co. Wicklow - these must be booked in advance through the links provided in EventBrite - with refundable deposits. Taking place 11th, 17th and 18th May

Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership with Sports Active Wexford and Wexford County Council invite all families to join us in the South East Greenway Family Cycle on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 from the Rosbercon entrance to the South East Greenway. There will be two events on the day, both are geared towards family enjoyment of the South East Greenway. At 10am a family 12km cycle will start and this will be followed at 10.15 by a shorter 6km cycle.
