Creeslough NS will deliver a week-long Bike Week initiative promoting cycling for health, fun, and environmental awareness. Throughout the week, pupils will take part in a range of cycling-related activities designed to encourage active travel and build confidence on bikes.
Arranmore NS will take part in a Bike Week excursion beginning with the ferry from Arranmore to Burtonport, followed by transport to Glenveagh National Park. Pupils will hire bikes and enjoy a guided cycle within the scenic grounds of the park, promoting active travel, confidence on bicycles, and an appreciation of the natural environment.

Drumfad NS have planned two events across Bike Week 12th May - Bike Engineer will visit our school to service children bicycles for us. Friday 15th May- Family cycle to the beach in Portsalon for children and their families, a beach clean up and cycle back to school.

We have hired a local bike company to come to our school and deliver a day of fun and cycling for all our children with educational and additional needs. Using a selection of specialised equipment the children will get to have some fun and enjoy all the benefits that cycling offers.
The event will feature an adapted cycling obstacle course, allowing all students to participate at their own pace with appropriate support. The activity is designed to enhance coordination, confidence, and enjoyment in a safe and inclusive setting.
The Bike Check & E Bike Experience Day is a hands on, inclusive event designed to promote confidence, safety and enjoyment in cycling. Cycling for All Ages. Trishaw Spins for older or mobility-impaired people to feel the freedom and joy of being out on a bike. Residents from Skibbereen Residential Care Centre & Retirement Village and others in the Skibbereen town will get the opportunity to take a bicycle ride around Skibbereen.
We delivered this programme to teach the children about the road safety through bike skills while cycling to school and the importance of wearing a helmet and checking your bike before cycling.

Experience the tracks and trails that Dublin Mountain National Cycling Centre has to offer while seeing a skyline view of Dublin Bay and City. This is a two-hour guided tour; bikes and helmets are included.
