Drumraney National School – Hop on Your Bike!

We will hold the event in our local GAA club Mary;land GAA grounds. Each cjhild will bring their bike and we will employ coaches from the local triathlon club to facilitate the training. Children will be taught about safety on bikes on the road, the impotance of using safety equipment such as hi-vis jackets and cycling safely and responsibly. The coaches will show the children skills on the day and will hold a mini cycling evet at the club.

Join our PedalPower Cycle Parade. Get on your bike! Come along for a free, family-friendly cycle parade with music, costumes and 4 pick-up points are Bangor Circle, Mount Argus Park, Harold’s Cross Park and Parnell Road (Fire station) for final Kiddie Kilometre ending at Eamonn Ceannt Park. Emper National School – Bike Safety Talk and Blueway Trek

We would hope to ask a local bike expert to come and speak to our pupils regarding bike safety. Pupils would then convene at the local Blueway Trail near Rathcaled in Emper and go on the Blueway as far as Abbeyshrule and back again. A picnic would be organised at a location in Abbeyshrule (playground) as a treat for all who participated. Parents would be welcome to join also.
