Luas Red Line – Replacement Bus Service between Connolly and The Point

Description

We wish to advise customers that due to graduations in the DCU campus, the following diversions will be in place from 08.00hrs until approx. 20.00hrs on Monday 20 October, Tuesday 21 October, Wednesday 22 October and Thursday 23 October 2025.

Routes 42d and 70d

- Towards Portmarnock / Dunboyne:
Depart stop 1644 DCU Collins Avenue, Whitehall, DCU and back on to normal route.

- Towards DCU:
Normal route to Collins Avenue Extension and terminate at stop 1646 DCU Collins Avenue, Whitehall. 

Route 44

- Towards Enniskerry:
Depart stop 1646 DCU Collins Avenue, DCU and back on to normal route.

- Towards DCU:
Normal route to Ballymun Road and terminate at stop 90 Ballymun Road, St. Pappin's Road.
Stop 7571 DCU Helix, Whitehall will not be in use during this time. Please see the map on our website for your nearest stop location.

We wish to advise customers that due to roadworks on Alexandra Road, Route 53 will be diverted from 09.00hrs on Saturday 09 July 2025 for approximately 1 year.

Departures that normally use Seatown Road will now divert via Swords Main Street, Malahide Road to Swords bypass and back on to normal route.

Bus stops 7114 Seatown Road, Seatown Villas and 7116 Swords Park, Swords Bypass will not be in use during this time. 

Bus stops 3689 Fingal, Swords, 3690 Swords Main Street, Swords Village and 6117 Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre, Malahide Road will now be served by Route 41x.

Luas Red Line services between Connolly and The Point will remain suspended for several weeks following fire damage in the Docklands area. 

Replacement Bus Service 

A replacement bus is serving the affected area while repair works and assessments continue. 

Bus Stop Locations 

  • Busáras / Connolly Luas Stop: The bus stops outside Connolly Station at the bus bay. 
  • George’s Dock Luas Stop: The bus stops at Hilton Garden Inn (Custom House Quay). 
  • Mayor Square NCI Luas Stop: The bus stops at The Spencer Hotel (North Wall Quay). 
  • Spencer Dock Luas Stop: The bus stops at The Convention Centre (North Wall Quay). 
  • The Point Luas Stop: Customers should go next to The Point / 3Arena (North Wall Quay) to take the replacement bus.

We wish to advise customers that Routes C2 and X30 will be rerouted from Sunday 24 August 2025. Routes C2 and X30 will no longer serve stops 7990 Tandy's Lane, Hillcrest, 7989 Shackleton Point, Hillcrest and 7897 St Helen's, Adamstown Castle towards Adamstown and stops 7986 St Helen's, Adamstown Castle and 7988 Shackleton Point, Hillcrest towards Sandymount / UCD Belfield. 

Routes C2 and X30 will now serve stops 7895 Shackleton Drive and 7894 Shackleton Park towards Adamstown and stops 7893 Shackleton Park and 7955 Shackleton Drive towards Sandymount / UCD Belfield. 

These changes have been coordinated as part of the TFI network.
