Family Fun Cycling Festival – Doorly Park

A fun-filled cycling day for families with games, skills sessions, workshops, and treats for all ages and abilities!
Join us for a Bike Week Family Fun Cycling Festival, delivered in partnership with Sligo County Council, Cycling Ireland and SSRP. It is a great opportunity for families to get active, build confidence on bikes, and enjoy a relaxed day outdoors together.
This event is suitable for all ages and abilities, whether you’re new to cycling or looking to improve your skills in a fun and supportive environment.
What to expect:
• Skills & drills sessions and fun cycling games
• Bike maintenance workshops and safety talks
• Bike decorating station
• Ice cream van on site
Important Information:
• This is a family event – parents/guardians must remain on site and are responsible for their children at all times
• All activities will be supervised by qualified coaches and volunteers
• Participants should bring their own bikes where possible
• A limited number of bikes will be available to borrow for games and activities
Safety:
• Helmets must be worn at all times while cycling (for both children and adults)
• All bikes must be roadworthy with working brakes
