Pedals for All – Inclusive Cycling, Bike Skills & Gear Swap Day
A fun and inclusive cycling event at Clough GAA Grounds designed to encourage new and returning cyclists of all ages and abilities.
The event will include an accessible bike showcase in partnership with Laois Sports Partnership (subject to availability), allowing participants to view and try accessible bicycles suitable for different abilities.
The newly installed bike repair station at the GAA grounds will be promoted through a practical bike maintenance workshop covering tyre inflation, puncture repair, brake checks and bike safety basics.
A community Cycle Gear Swap & Donation Station will also be held, encouraging residents to donate or exchange unwanted but usable cycling items such as helmets, stabilisers, knee pads, elbow pads, high-visibility gear, pumps and children’s bikes. This will support affordability, re-use and sustainable active travel.
Target Group: Families, children, older adults, people with disabilities, beginner cyclists, returning cyclists
Distance: Optional short supervised spins within GAA grounds / safe local loop (approx. 1km)
Open to Public: Yes – fully open community event
