Hop on your bike and challenge yourself to complete a 25km cycle within the designated week of 10th to 18th May. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, this event is open to all skill levels. This event will take place on athletics track which will afford the participants an opportunity to try different bikes and trikes in a safe environment. Participants get to try many different types of bikes including electric bikes, and trikes, recumbent E-Trikes and Side by Side bikes as well as a range of adapted bikes.
Grassroutes Bike Hire will run eight inclusive cycling classes during Bike Week 2025 for students from Little Angels and St Bernadette’s schools. Sessions include bike fitting, safety checks, and adapted cycling skills, promoting confidence, physical activity, and independence.
Paralympian and pro cyclist Mitchell McLaughlin will visit the school to share his experiences from the 2024 Paris Paralympics and racing across Europe. He’ll speak to class groups, show his bikes and jerseys, and answer students’ questions in an inspiring, interactive afternoon about sport and motivation.
Join us for an exciting evening of cycling-themed activities at the Wicklow Town Bike Week Festival on Thursday, May 15. Taking place in the Murrough Carpark from 4pm to 7pm, the event is free and open to all ages and abilities.

Bike Fun Day rewards children who cycle to school during Bike Week with fun activities in the school yard. Led by teacher Luke Cape and pro cyclist Mitchell McLaughlin, kids will enjoy cycling challenges, prizes, and refreshments. It’s a fun, active event that promotes bike skills, confidence, and healthy habits!

On May 16th, CFFAM will host two free guided cycling tours on Arranmore Island for National Bike Week. Open to all ages, the event promotes health, sustainability, and local heritage, with bike loans, safety gear, refreshments, and a raffle. Tours begin at Arranmore Community Hall.
This workshop will be based on one to one tuition with one of our experienced cycling tutors. Each participant will have approximately 30 minutes of guidance.

Our popular Bike Week treasure trail at Bonny Glen offers a fun, safe day out for families. Children of all ages follow a lakeside trail, collect clues, and earn goody bags. With fruit kebabs, snacks, and drinks for all, plus tea and coffee for parents, it’s a community favourite!

Dr Bike will check over your bikes for safety and provide the tools for you to fix your own bike. Learn how to repair punctures and clean your bike – ready for a summer of bike riding.
