Bord Bia Bloom returns to its home in the Phoenix Park, Dublin for a 19th year this June bank holiday weekend.

Bord Bia Bloom is a world-class, uplifting and innovative horticulture, food, and drink experience with nature and sustainable living at its heart. Originally created to promote plants, garden design, horticulture and gardening, Bord Bia’s role in promoting food and drink has allowed Bloom to develop further.

The show has grown into something which not only makes for a great day out, but also offers a huge range of practical information on everything from gardening, to growing fruit and vegetables, cooking and culture.

Bord Bia Bloom starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm on each day from Thursday May 29th to Monday June 2nd 2025.

Location:

Bord Bia Bloom is held on a 70-acre site surrounding the Visitor Centre in the Phoenix Park, which can be accessed via the main Chesterfield Avenue Road running from the Park Gate Street to Castleknock Gates.

Shuttle Bus Service

A number of courtesy shuttle buses will be running on a loop from Park Gate Street (near Heuston Station) to Bord Bia Bloom and back from 7.30am to 7:00pm daily.

Bloom takes place in the Visitor Centre of the Phoenix Park, Dublin which is situated on the main Chesterfield Avenue road running from the Main Gate at Parkgate Street to the Castleknock Gate. We have opened and manned more gates into the Phoenix Park for Bloom.

 

How to Get to Bord Bia Bloom

Bloom is located in the centre of the Phoenix Park and is easily accessible on foot. It takes approximately 45 minutes to walk from the Parkgate Street Gate to the front entrance (Chesterfield Avenue) and approximately 10 minutes from the Ashtown or Cabra Gates to the rear entrance (North Road). The walk from the Castleknock Gate takes approximately 25 minutes.

From Hueston Train station or Connolly Train station

If travelling by Dart or Intercity train into Connolly Station, please board the Luas Red Line at the stops outside the stations and alight at Heuston train station.

Heuston station Luas stop (Red Line) is located outside Hueston train station. It is a 5 minute walk from Parkgate Street – from where there is a free shuttle bus to Bloom.

Parkgate street is across the bridge from Heuston Station.

The Luas Green Line terminates at Broombridge Luas Train Station which is a 40-minute walk to Bloom.

If travelling by Dart or Intercity train into Connolly Station or by bus into Busáras, please board the Luas Red Line at the stops outside the stations and alight at Heuston.

Heuston station Luas stop (Red Line) is a 5 minute walk from Parkgate Street – from where there is a free shuttle bus.

The 99 bus route

We wish to advise customers that due to the Bloom Festival in the Phoenix Park, Route 99 will be unable to serve the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre from Monday 26 May until Friday 06 June 2025.

As a result Route 99 will operate along Chesterfield Avenue.

You can also take a public bus to the festival via routes 11, 26, 38b, 39, 70, 99, C5, C6 which stop on the Navan Road, and walk approx. 15-minute to the show (rear entrance)

Private coaches can park in the Papal Cross car park in the Park.

A free shuttle bus service operates from Parkgate Street to Bloom and back from 7.30am to 7:00pm daily . Drop off will be at a specially designated Bloom stop on Chesterfield Avenue. 

We have increased the number of free shuttles each day and have a new dedicated route for our shuttles to get you to Bloom faster. If you are travelling by train, we advise visitors to leave Bloom 90 minutes prior to your train departure time to allow yourself ample time to get to Heuston Station.

Please note, the festival is open from 9am-6pm each day. 

Directions

Traffic from the city centre can use Cabra Gate via Blackhorse Avenue, the Main Gate to the Phoenix Park (Parkgate Street) and the NCR Gate.

Traffic from north city and the M50 can use the Castleknock Gate, Ashtown Gate,   Knockmaroon Gate and Chapelizod Gate (From N4 via North Circular) are all available.

Once you enter the Phoenix Park, follow the signs for the nearest car park.

Parking

Parking at Bloom costs €10 per day, parking passes can be purchased via Ticketmaster when purchasing your Bloom ticket.

Car parking for people with disabilities 

Car parking for people with disabilities  is available beside the entrance of each car park. Please ensure your Blue Badge is displayed in a visible position to ensure stewards on site can direct visitors to the dedicated parking areas.

It’s possible to cycle right up to the Bloom entrances where cyclists can safely park and lock their bikes in our expanded cycle parks.
