There will be road closures in place from early on the following roads:

• Strand Road
• Albert Avenue
• Sidmonton Avenue
• Convent Avenue to Sidmonton Road
• Seapoint Road
• Putland Road to the first Junction on Newcourt Road

Road Closures and Event information

The road closures are in place to facilitate residents, safe pedestrian flow, public transport and emergency access for the Bray Air Display. On roads with traffic restrictions, local access will be facilitated where possible.

Additional services: 

Additional rail services will operate on the day. Services are expected to be busy and customers are advised to:

• Beat the crowds: travel early
• Use Leapcard or buy return tickets
• Stay hydrated and always carry water
• Remember that alcohol is not permitted on any service
• Bikes will not be permitted on board DART and Commuter Services

LUAS Shuttle Bus service

LUAS will operate a full service with an average frequency of 12-14 minutes to and from Brides Glen.

BrayAirDisplay arranged a shuttle bus service on Saturday, August 1.

• Simply take the Green Line and get off at the Brides Glen stop.
• From there, spectators can easily access a shuttle bus service that will take them close to the event site in Bray.
• The event site is along Bray Seafront which is only a short walking distance away.
• After the event, they can return to the Brides Glen stop using the same shuttle bus service.

To avail of this convenient service, passengers had to  purchase a return ticket for the shuttle bus in advance. (More details closer to the event)

Bus Éireann will operate route 131 on an hourly basis from Bray Town to Wicklow Town and from Wicklow Town to Bray Town.

For the Bray Air Display, 1 August

Stop 4169 Bray Train Station will be suspended for the duration of the road closures.

The alternative stop is at Quinsborough Rd, bus stop number 4156.

Route E1 will not be affected and will operate its normal route.

• 1  August, 2026, Bray Air Display
  

  We wish to advise customers that due the Bray Air Display, the following diversions will be in place on Routes L12 and L14 from 10.00hrs until 20.00hrs on Saturday 1 August 2026.

• Timetables for the E1, L12, and L14 routes operated by Dublin Bus, can be found here.
• Route E1 will not be affected and will operate its normal route.
• Route L12
  Towards Ballywaltrim
  Depart temporary stop on Adelaide Road and continue on normal route.
  Towards Bray Dart Station
  Normal route to Florence Road and terminate at temporary stop on Adelaide Road.
• Stop 4169 Bray Station, Bray will not be in use during this time.
  • Please proceed to stop 4156 Seymour Road, Bray for your nearest stop location.
• Route L14
  Towards Cherrywood
  Normal Route to Vevay Road, divert via Vevay Road, Main Street, Quinsborough Road, Florence Road and back to normal route.
• Stops 8264 Meath Road, Bray, 8265 Victoria Avenue, Bray and 4168 Bray Station, Bray will not be in use during this time.
  • Please proceed to stops 4148 O’Bryne Road, Bray or 4170 Methodist Church, Bray for your nearest stop location.
• Towards Southern Cross Road
  • Normal Route to Quinsborough Road, divert via Florence Road, Main Street, Vevay Road and back to normal route.
  • Stops 4159 Strand Road, Bray, 8267 Bray Promenade, Bray and 4163 Putland Road, Bray will not be in use during this time.
    • Please proceed to stops 4156 Seymour Road, Bray or 8268 Presentation College, Bray for your nearest stop locations.

Go-Ahead Ireland will provide a number of services on Saturday the 1 August 2026

• Go-Ahead Ireland, Routes 45A, L1, L2, L15:
• Stops 2973 (L1 and L2),
• 2974 (L15),
• and 4168 (45A) at Bray Train Station will be suspended for the duration of the road closures.
• Towards Bray: all buses will drop passengers off at the last stop on Quinsborough Road.
• Departing Bray: all routes will depart from Adelaide Road.

As well as Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Bus Éireann,

other bus companies that pass through Bray include:

Finnegan’s Bray and St. Kevin’s Bus Service to Glendalough.

There will be no parking permitted from 7 am and no vehicle access to the event site at Strand Road from 10 am on Saturday, August 2nd (including residents and businesses). Mitigation barriers will be in place for the duration of the event. Cars will be towed.

Deliveries to businesses along Strand Road and adjoining roads must be completed before 10 am.

All spectators attending the event by vehicle are advised to allow time for traffic delays.

Local Residents Access

Every effort will be made to discourage illegal parking in residential estates and on side streets. Barriers, signage, street cones and event-dedicated towing service will be in operation. Traffic Management Plan for the #BrayAirDisplay for further details
