Very high demand, travel as early as possible.
The 19th annual Bray Air Display will take place on Saturday 1st of August
Spectators are strongly advised to use Public Transport services to get to and from Bray, as traffic restrictions will be in place.

To be confirmed – These road closures were in place from early in 2025 on the following roads – and expect similar in 2026:
Bray has a substantial public transport network, both north from Dublin and south from County Wicklow and County Wexford. Bray is on the DART Rail Network.
The town is also on the mainline Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail network which connects north to Connolly Station in Dublin city centre.

Please plan your journey in advance, and give yourself plenty of time to get to and from Bray.

Road Closures and Event information

The road closures are in place to facilitate residents, safe pedestrian flow, public transport and emergency access for the Bray Air Display. On roads with traffic restrictions, local access will be facilitated where possible.

LUAS will operate a full service with an average frequency of 12-14 minutes to and from Brides Glen.

In 2025 – BrayAirDisplay arranged a shuttle bus service on Saturday, August 2nd. There may be a similar arrangement on 1 August 2026.
To avail of this convenient service, passengers had to purchase a return ticket for the shuttle bus in advance. (More details closer to the event)
Bus Éireann will operate route 131 on an hourly basis from Bray Town to Wicklow Town and from Wicklow Town to Bray Town.

No change to above route, but delays expected due to heavy traffic in the area.
L12
Route L12 will operate from Adelaide Road instead of Bray station for the duration of the road closures.
L14
Route L14 will operate via Bray Main Street and the Vevay Road in both directions for the duration of the Road closures. (This route will not serve the Putland Road and Meath Road until the road closures are lifted)

L1 Newcastle Hospital – Bray Station
There will be no parking permitted from 7 am and no vehicle access to the event site at Strand Road from 10 am on Saturday, August 2nd (including residents and businesses). Mitigation barriers will be in place for the duration of the event. Cars will be towed.
Deliveries to businesses along Strand Road and adjoining roads must be completed before 10 am.

All spectators attending the event by vehicle are advised to allow time for traffic delays.
Local Residents Access
Every effort will be made to discourage illegal parking in residential estates and on side streets. Barriers, signage, street cones and event-dedicated towing service will be in operation. Traffic Management Plan for the #BrayAirDisplay for further details

Bray is served by a number of bus routes.
Please note that due to road closures, there will be diversions in place and some stops will not be serviced. Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland and Bus Éireann will publish information on their websites in advance of the event about these temporary arrangements.
