If you are travelling by public transport to enjoy the festivities this St. Patrick’s weekend, please note that there may be changes to your usual service.

Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to the St. Patrick’s Festival, there will be a number of diversions in place from Thursday 16 to Monday 20 March 2023. For further details of diversions, please click on the links below.
Nitelink Service
Nitelinks will operate on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 March 2023.
24-hour services
We have 24-hour services which are in operation seven days a week across ten routes.
Friday 17 March 2023 – St. Patrick’s Day
A Sunday Timetable will operate on all routes on St. Patrick’s Day and City Tours will not operate. Due to St. Patrick’s Day Parades, real time information will not be available from approximately 08.00 to 18.00.
Saturday 18 March 2023
A normal Saturday service will operate on all routes.
Bus Éireann
We wish to advise customers that all Bus Éireann and Expressway services will operate to a Sunday schedule on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday 17 March.
There will be a number of diversions on St. Patricks day due to parade’s taking place across the country and we will update this page with information on the diversions shortly.

Local Link
Regular Rural Services will be operating a Sunday schedule. Please note that some diversions are in place due to local parades. For service information over the weekend, please contact your TFI Local Link office.
Go Ahead Ireland
There will be a number of diversions on routes due to St. Patrick’s Day parades. Details are available on the Go Ahead Service Updates webpage.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Friday 17th March, there will be some changes to Luas services on the Red and Green Lines. Services on both the Red and Green Lines will run Sunday Operating Hours due to the Public Holiday. There will also be partial closures of the Red and Green Lines to accommodate the parade. Details of changes to service are outlined below.

Luas will run normal Saturday and Sunday Operating Hours over the weekend.
Sunday schedules are in operation with some additional services for DART and Commuter services, please check our journey planner for a full list of services that will operate during the day both pre & post parade.
Tara Street Station is closed until 16:00, please use Connolly or Pearse.
For Intercity journeys you can enjoy great fares by booking online with Iarnród Éireann.

As St. Patrick’s Day is a public holiday, the premium rate applies to all taxi fares. To estimate the cost of any journey on this day, use the Taxi Fare Estimator and select the Premium Rate on transportforireland.ie. A booking fee may apply only where a taxi is booked in advance.
Customers can also make cashless payments for all journeys.
