Multiple operators provide bus services across the TFI public transport network, including:
Bus Éireann operates a wide range of bus services, including City, Town, Commuter and Local services throughout the TFI public transport network. Excluding the Dublin area, Bus Éireann operate a nationwide service.
Dublin Bus is the biggest transport operator in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA), operating over 136 routes.
Go-Ahead Ireland operate various routes in the Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area and have also taken over operation of several Kildare commuter routes.
As of the 24th November 2019, Go-Ahead Ireland also operate the new route 197 Swords to Ashbourne.
JJ Kavanagh and Sons operate Route 139 on behalf of Transport for Ireland.
The orbital route has 9 services daily bringing Naas, Sallins, Clane, Rathcoffey, Maynooth, Leixlip and Blanchardstown a whole lot closer.
Route 139 (operated by JJ Kavanagh and Sons) is fully integrated in the TFI Journey Planner.
TFI Local Link provides a nationwide bus service in rural areas around Ireland, and are operated and managed by 15 local offices throughout the country.
The route serves Cavan, Crossdoney, Arvagh, Drumlish and Longford.
From Monday – Saturday the 975 departs Cavan at 8.00am, 10.45am, 2.05pm, 4.05pm and 5.42pm.
From Monday – Saturday the 975 departs Longford at 7.30am, 10.20am, 1.20pm, 3.30pm and 6.00pm.
The route serves Cashel, Urlingford, Durrow, Abbeyleix and Portlaoise.
