The National Transport Authority (NTA) is the designated enforcement body for:

  • Bus and Coach
  • Sea and Inland Waterway
  • Rail

Bus and Coach

Regulations: The NTA’s role is to ensure that transport operators are treating all passengers as outlined in Regulation 181/2011 concerning the rights of passengers when travelling by bus or coach.

Sea and Inland Waterway

Regulations: The NTA’s role is to ensure that transport operators are treating all passengers as outlined in Regulation 1177/2010 concerning the rights of passengers when travelling by sea and inland waterway.

Rail

Regulations: The NTA’s role is to ensure that transport operators are treating all passengers as outlined in Regulation No 2021/782 concerning the rights of passengers travelling by rail.

Passenger Support
Passengers should direct their enquiries and issues to the relevant carrier or operator in the first instance if they believe their rights have been infringed.
