The Regeneron Great Limerick Run on Sunday 3 May 9am
is a full marathon, half marathon, or 6-mile distance
Start and Finish: Start: Pery Square, 9 am
Finish: O’Connell Street, Limerick (Main Street)

The Regeneron Great Limerick Run is the biggest mass participation sporting event outside Dublin.
It is about encouraging individuals to compete and achieve their personal goals.

The inclusiveness of the event with three separate races has captured the attention of people across all social and demographic backgrounds. From the young to senior citizens, competitive athletes to occasional runners or walkers our team will help you cross the finish line.

  • Full- Marathon
    • Start and Finish: Start: Pery Square, 9 am
    • Finish: O’Connell Street, Limerick (Main Street)
    • Both the starting point and the finishing area are conveniently located, just a short 5-minute walk from each other.

    • 1st Transition Area – Mile 6, Milford Credit Union, Plassey Road
    • 2nd Transition Area – Mile 12.5, Johns Square
    • 3rd Transition Area – Mile 20.5, Henry St @ Dunnes Stores
    • Relay Buses
      • Buses are available to take runner No 2 in the relay event out to Transition Area 1 (Milford Credit Union) between 8:30am – 8:45am from Arthurs Quay Bus Stop
      • Buses will then be available to take Runner 1 back to Arthurs Quay from Milford Credit Union, where they can make their way to the reunion point – Strand Hotel, Ennis Road

    • 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM: Race Pack Collection at UL Arena. If you haven’t received your race pack by the event day, please come to collect it at this time. Ensure you have your barcode ticket ready to help us quickly locate your order.2:30 PM: Wheelchair Event on Track. We kick off the races with an inclusive event for our wheelchair participants.3:00 PM: Junior & Senior Infants 1KM Route. The youngest runners take on a kilometer of fun and excitement.3:45 PM: First, Second & Third Class 1.5 KM Route. School-aged children step up the challenge in this engaging race.4:30 PM: Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class 2 KM Route. Our oldest participants test their endurance in a 2-kilometer dash.
