Spraoi International Street Arts Festival, Waterford

Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, welcomes you for three days of exceptional street carnival entertainment. Parade, music, dance, fireworks, street performance, and spectacle await our visitors.

Ancient city walls, towers, and churches create incredible settings for a feast of free performances by artists from around the world.

Spraoi International Street Arts Festival normally runs over three days on the first weekend of August in Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city. The festival presents approximately two hundred free street theatre, dance, spectacle, contemporary circus and music shows. Artists from around the world perform and it is Ireland’s premiere street arts event.

Events include

The Spraoi Parade (& Fireworks) commences in Johnstown at 9.30 p.m. on Sunday August 2nd.

The parade route is: Johnstown, Parnell Street, The Mall, and along The Quay to the General Post Office.
It concludes at the GPO and will shortly be followed by fireworks launched from the River Suir.
