DART & Commuter Rail Caps

Adult Student Child
Daily Cap €9.50 €7.00 €3.20
Weekly Cap (Mon-Sun) €37.00 €27.00 €12.50

Fare Capping

If you use multiple public transport services (Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Luas, DART and commuter rail) throughout a day or a week (Monday-Sunday), we will automatically cap the price so that you will never spend excessively on public transport services.

Once an Adult (using an adult TFI Leap Card) has spent €9.50 on Iarnród Éireann services in one day, they can travel on these services for the rest of the day for free. The same applies for the weekly cap on Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail services; once an Adult spends €37 in one week on these services, they pay nothing additional for the week. Once you have reached the daily or weekly cap, no Travel Credit will be charged on your TFI Leap Card when travelling on applicable services.

TFI 90 Minute

Another additional benefit of using a TFI Leap Card is the TFI 90 Minute Fare. TFI 90 includes the option to transfer between Dublin Bus, Luas and most DART, commuter rail (zones 1 to 4 in the Short Hop Zone) and Go-Ahead Ireland services in Dublin – just touch on your last journey within 90 minutes of the first.
