Welcome to #MeetYourDriver; a series championing our TFI Local Link drivers. Today we’re featuring Geraldine King who has been driving for TFI Local Link Louth Meath Fingal for seventeen years.

Prior to joining TFI Local Link Louth Meath Fingal, Geraldine was doing personal assistant work for a manger in the TCU; as well as HomeHelp for the HSE. After a call to the head office, she began her TFI Local Link career with some passenger assistance work; and driving a smaller bus on a B licence, before eventually gaining a D1 licence for larger buses.

Geraldine sees TFI Local Link as an important part of the local community. Some passengers may be isolated from neighbours so the bus allows them an opportunity to meet new people and form friendships while undertaking their shopping runs and enjoying days out.

Geraldine’s advice to anyone thinking of becoming a bus driver is: “The only way you’ll learn is to ask questions,” and to be a team-player.
