City Direct operates two local bus routes in Portlaoise on behalf of Transport for Ireland (TFI).

• PL1 – Colliers Lane – Borris Road – JFL Avenue – Portlaoise Train Station – Mountmellick Road – Woodgrove
• PL2 – Kilminchy – Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise – St Fintan’s Hospital – JFL Avenue – Portlaoise Train Station – Harpurs Lane – IDA Business & Technology Park – Bellingham

Service Frequency

• Both routes operate 7 days a week, approximately every 30 minutes.
• Between Portlaoise Train Station and St Peter & Paul’s Church, routes overlap to provide a bus every 15 minutes.
• Early morning and late evening services are available to connect with trains to Dublin, Cork, and Limerick.
