Starting Bike Week - This is a “sofa to saddle” cycling programme that caters for the improver-intermediate cyclist. Family friendly introduction to mountain biking including a bike lesson and trail ride.
20k road cycle for beginners taking place in Ballina, suitable for all levels.
Bicycle repair clinic for 3.5hours: this includes 1 hour repair demonstration to show people basic maintenance. There will also be 10 ambassadors from Language Cafe cycling to work all week who will outline the challenges and positives of their experiences. There will be music by Ballyhaunis School of Music, refreshments and a bike sale.
This talk will provide information to the public on ebike safety including: what specifications to look for when buying an ebike that are most suitable to the buyer how to operate controls on an ebike and a test cycle ebike safety knowledge
A group cycle to promote exercise and raise awareness of road safety for cyclists. All ages are invited to participate and there will be a short route and longer route. Our Local Bike Shop will supply bikes free of charge for anyone wishing to take part who does not own a bike.
