50km Kildare & Laois County Collaboration along the Barrow Blueway

Discover the Barrow Blueway on a gentle 50km cycling adventure, perfect for recreational riders who love the outdoors, local wildlife, and a touch of history. Enjoy a relaxed pace along the scenic grand canal towpath trail, with plenty of opportunities to pause and soak in the views. The journey begins in Robertstown (Co Kildare), after parking in Athy and catching a convenient bus transfer. Meandering back to Athy, we’ll take an hour lunch break in Fisherstown (Co Laois) at the charming Fisherman’s Thatched Inn.
