Game, Set, Cycle! – Bike to the Club Challenge

May 9 @ 8:00 am - May 17 @ 9:00 pm

This is a Bike Week 2026 initiative organised by our tennis club to encourage active travel and fun participation among junior and family members.

During Bike Week 2026 (9–17 May), tennis club members are encouraged to cycle to the tennis club at least once during the week. On arrival, participants take a photo of their bicycle and tennis racket together underneath the club sign, capturing their active journey to the club. The photo is sent to the club phone and shared on the club’s social media channels throughout Bike Week to promote cycling, healthy lifestyles and community participation.

The event takes place at the tennis club grounds and runs for the full duration of Bike Week (9–17 May 2026), allowing flexibility for participants to take part on a day and time that suits them. The cycling distance is self‑selected, based on each participant’s home location, making the challenge inclusive and accessible for all abilities, including beginners and younger cyclists.
All participants who submit a valid entry photo during Bike Week will be entered into a prize draw, with prizes including either:
Prize: One year’s tennis club membership (maximum value €360), chosen at random from all entrants.
The target group for this event is existing tennis club members, with a strong emphasis on junior players and families, although adult members are also encouraged to take part. The event is NOT OPEN to the general public and is confined to members of the tennis club.
This initiative promotes cycling as a fun, sustainable and family‑friendly activity, aligns with the goals of Bike Week, and supports community wellbeing by linking everyday cycling with participation in local sport.
