5th & 6th class pupils will cycle from Rath NS to Courtwood GAA, they will then cycle along the Barrow Blueway to Vicarstown and back. 6 staff members will also take part. Pupils with varying disabilities will also be included. In all the distance will be approximately 14km.
Pupils will bring bikes to local park where there is a 800m track for the children to complete a 5km cycle. The children will have a picnic after, family members and a safety officer will be invited for health and safety purposes Helmets and Safety lessons will be completed in class in advance.
