Hop on your bike and challenge yourself to complete a 25km cycle within the designated week of 10th to 18th May. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, this event is open to all skill levels. Join us 17th May from 9am in Glenties during Bike Week for free bike “M-checks” by local mechanics, covering essentials like brakes, gears, and tyre pressure. Enjoy tea, coffee, and bike chats while learning basic cycling skills from our volunteers. Afterward, take part in a relaxed 10km cycle along the scenic local cycle path.
Finn Wheelers will be hosting a 30km leisure cycle featuring a mid-way refreshment break. The goal is to encourage participation in a social group cycle for club and non-members. We will be encouraging people interested in cycling who are non members to participate in the group cycle and hope to encourage then to get involved with regular group cycles with the club. This will be an easy paced event with experienced club member leading the cycle event and providing marshalling and support. Bikes will be checked and safety will be discussed in a briefing before the cycle.

Cycle safety and bike maintenance Kilkelly is suitable for 5-12 year olds who are in national school with all levels of experience in cycling. This event is to help promote Awareness and safety of the road and education and training that is fun and interactive.
Young and old get to enjoy quality time in the saddle in Galway, alongside one another with this family cycle from Clifden Bike Shop along Beach Road to Clifden Lifeboat Station and return a gentle 4.5km for about 1.5 hours for National Bike Week, taking place on the 17th May. All children must be accompanied by an adult and helmets are compulsory.

An evening of bike skills and fun family cycling on Sunday, May 18th from 6pm at the Horse and Jockey. Including a bike maintenance talk at 6pm, followed by kids’ and adult cycles at 7pm. Refreshments after!
