Dublin’s Luas and Dart rail services have planned essential engineering works over the weekend 13th and 14th September, resulting in service disruptions.

   

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail : No train services between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail engineering works will take place between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones
on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14.

Irish Rail dart service disruption

No train services between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones on those dates.
Rosslare intercity services will only operate between Greystones and Rosslare.

    • 13th to 14th September
    • Grand Canal Dock to Greystones
    • Track renewal, bridge renewal, Bray Head coastal defence works, overhead line renewal
    • Southside DART, Rosslare Intercity
  • The following stations will be closed for train services this weekend:
    • Lansdowne Road
    • Sandymount, Sydney Parade
    • Booterstown, Blackrock
    • Seapoint
    • Salthill
    • Monkstown
    • Dun Laoghaire
    • Glenageary
    • Dalkey
    • Killiney
    • Shankill
    • Woodbrook
    • and Bray.
  •  Direct bus transfers will operate between Dublin Connolly / Greystones and between Dun Laoghaire / Bray and Greystones to connect with the Rosslare service.

Luas 1 : Red Line Services stop Red Cow to Tallaght / Saggart on Sat 13 & Sun 14 Sep

Due to Luas engineering works taking place on the Red Line this weekend, Luas Stops between Red Cow and Tallaght / Saggart will be closed on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September. 

  • Trams will run between Connolly and Red Cow only.
  • Replacement buses will run approx. every 15 mins in the affected area with some restrictions due to limited bus set down areas.
  • These essential rail works involve replacing track at Belgard Stop and the Luas crossing over Belgard Road.

Please note that stoppages are also expected on these routes on the following dates:

  • Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October.
  • Saturday 25, Sunday 26 and Bank Holiday Monday 27 October.

Green Line services will not be affected by these works.

Luas 2: Red Line Service – Replacement bus service from Connolly to The Point

Luas Red Line services between Connolly and The Point will remain suspended for several weeks following fire damage in the Docklands area.

Luas 3: Red Line Custom House Quay, closure 13th Sep 12:00-7pm

Due to the Dublin City Liffey Swim 2025 on Saturday 13th September,
Custom’s House Quay will be closed to traffic from 12:00 to 19:00.
Expect delays and disruption to the Luas bus replacement service from The Point to Connolly.
