Key Service Updates:

  • Route NV1 (formerly N1) will be extended eastwards to serve new stops at Carne Wood, Johnstown Village and Dunville.
  • Route NV2 (formerly N2) will serve new stops at Belcourt, Blackcastle Demense, and Blackcastle Estate in the northeast of Navan
  • All buses on Routes NV1 and NV2 will be fully accessible with low-floor access

The National Transport Authority (NTA) and Bus Éireann, Ireland’s national bus company have today announced the extension of the Navan Town Bus Service to Johnstown Village, Dunville and Blackcastle. The enhancement will come into effect on the 27th July.

These improvements are part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network and reflects ongoing efforts to improve local transport connectivity for work, education, and leisure travel as well as improved access to other services for onward travel.

New Stops Added to NV1 and NV2 Routes as Navan Bus Network Grows

Route NV1 (formerly N1) will be extended eastward to include new stops at Carne Wood, Johnstown, and Dunville. To accommodate this change, the stop at Kilcarn Bridge will no longer be served by the NV1 route. Route NV2 (formerly N2) will begin serving additional stops in the northeast of the town at Belcourt, Blackcastle Demesne, and Blackcastle Estate.

Service Frequency Maintained

Both NV1 and NV2 services continue to operate every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday, and hourly between 08:30 and 22:30 on Sundays.
