To encourage as many of our school community to cycle more often where possible Children from 3rd - 6th class will cycle approx 5km along the N4 and onto Loughlinstown Lane. Children from Junior Infants - 2nd class will cycle around a track in the school playground made by teachers in the school.
To encourage pupils to cycle in a safe manner, while improving their cycling skills. Events will take place on the grounds of our school. Events will include a cycling obstacle course, a slow cycle race and a talk on Cycle Safety and bicycle repair.
To encourage more pupils who live within 3km radius to cycle to school We will start at the railway track on the greenway in Moate. Class will cycle to Garrycastle in different pace groups, supported by class teachers.
Join us for a leisurely social spin along the Greenway. Stopping in Ballinea Bridge for complimentary refreshments, tea, coffee and ice-cream. Everyone welcome.
