Generational Cycle on the Greenway

The Generational Cycle is a Bike Week event that invites children, parents and grandparents to enjoy cycling together on the Limerick Greenway. It’s all about spending time together, getting active, and experiencing the joy of cycling as a family, while enjoying the safe, scenic and accessible Greenway environment.
Based at Locomotion Bike Rental, Barnagh Greenway Hub, families will be welcomed to the hub, introduced to the facilities, and matched with a suitable bike and helmet, including adaptive bikes where needed. After a short safety chat and route guidance, families can set off at a relaxed pace to explore the Greenway together. The event has a strong community and accessibility focus, with the emphasis on fun and accessibility. Photos will be taken during the event, and families are invited to enjoy complimentary tea/coffee and scones or hot chocolate and cookies at Platform 22 café afterwards.
The event is community focused and places a strong emphasis on accessibility.
