School Cycle Celebration

Scoil Chroí Naofa, Carn Domhnach, proposes to deliver a “Decorate Your Bike Parade” as part of National Bike Week 2026, taking place in Barrack Hill Gardens & Play Park, a safe, traffic-free environment within close proximity to the school.
The event will promote participation in recreational cycling, particularly among children and families, in line with Bike Week objectives of inclusion, accessibility, and community engagement.
Participants will decorate their bikes or scooters and take part in a supervised, non-competitive parade, encouraging enjoyment of cycling regardless of ability. The event will specifically support new and occasional cyclists by providing a safe, supportive environment to build confidence. Inclusive participation will be facilitated through alternative roles and adapted approaches where needed.
