This event on 11th May will have two parts an online bike poetry competition and an in person Bike-themed poetry evening at The Friary, with free snacks. A chance to catch up with all the new friends you made on all the Bike Week Cycles. Hear some pieces inspired by cycling
Moran’s bike shop will attend Gorvagh Community Centre and repair and check children’s bikes from the area (Check breaks, gears, tyres etc ) and adjust and replace as required. There will be a talk on road safety and good bike use.
Free Event. Join us for a 30-minute opening cycle commute on the Waterford Greenway, meeting at the Durrow Greenway Car park at 8.00am. Stopping for refreshments at 8.15am in railway cottage and leaving at 8.40am to get into the Dungarvan for 9.00am, with complimentary hot drinks and snacks.

Community Cycle to School Day with Scoil Éanna, Co. Galway for Bike Week
We will begin our day with a cycle to school every day for bike week. Meeting at market square in Dunfanaghy village to promote cycling and create an awareness in our locality. Guest speaker to talk to pupils around bike maintenance and bike safety. Make healthy smoothies as a refreshment
Preschool children will learn about bike road safety; the importance of putting on a helmet, hi vis, and talk about the rules of the road and general safety.
